Uganda Girl Guides Association, is located in over 113 districts of Uganda with a total membership of 436,086 members from the ages of 3 onwards.

                UGGA is a voluntary organization, non-political, without any discrimination to creed, race or any other circumstance. It is affiliated to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) the largest single women organization in the world. The Association’s target beneficiaries are girls and young women between the age of 3 and 35.

 Looking Forward

Uganda Girl Guides Association is open to each and every girl in Uganda and members are organised into age based branches to ensure that the training programmes delivered are relevant and age appropriate and progressive. During the next 5 years, UGGA plans to recruit and retain at least  30% of the eligible female population into membership.

BRANCH AGES

1. Rainbows – 3-5 years or in nursery school
2. Brownies 6-10 years or in lower primary school
3. Junior Guides -11-13 years or in upper primary school
4. Rangers -13-18 years or in secondary school
5. Young leaders – 18-35 years
6. Adult Guides – 35 years and above
7. Trefoil Guild
